Satan and Demons

What are Angels? Demons?  Who are they?  Are they real?  Yes, they are real

        Angels are spiritual beings created by God to server Him.  They are very powerful beings who function as God's Messengers. Many times in the Bible they appeared to people and said, "I have come as a messenger from the Lord."

       In the New Testament it tells us they are also Ministering spirits sent to look after human beings who are the heirs of Salvation. (Hebrews 1:14).  They responded instantly to God's Spirit.  Angels are magnificent beings. Their power is so great that just one angel was able to destroy 185,000 Assyrian soldiers in one night. (II Kings 19:35).

       Demons are fallen angels. When Satan, who was the very highest angel, rebelled against God, he took "a large" number of the angels with him in rebellion.  When their rebellion failed, they were cast out of Heaven and came to live on the earth.  Those angels now are called demons. (Rev. 12:3-9).

       In the same way that the angels can reach very heights of spirituality, demons have the ability to reach down into the great depths of Hatred, Bitterness, and perversion.  Demons seem to be interested in Tormenting people.  Possessing  them, and Leading them away from God and His truth.

        There is a conflict in the invisible world between God's loyal messengers and demonic hosts.  Somehow in God's wonderful order, He uses the prayers of His people to restrain demonic activity and direct the action of angelic power to control demons.  The Book of Daniel tells of a struggle between the Archangel Michael and the demonic "Prince of Persia".   Daniel 10:12, 13, 20.

        In the New Testament it tells us in (I Thess 2:18) how Satan hindered his companions from coming to see the Believers.

        Christian believers, by having the Holy Spirit within them, have the Power over ALL demons.  The Bible says "He who is in you is greater then he (Satan) who is in the world."  (I John 4:4).  The Christian, by having the Holy Spirit within him, has Power over All demons of the enemy. (Luke 10:20).  Jesus' authority is Greater than satanic power.  When the disciples returned, they told of casting out demons.

HOW POWERFUL IS SATAN?

       Satan is the highest of the created beings.  As such, he is extraordinary powerful.  He is also Subtle, Deceiful, Vile, and Hateful beyond imagination.  Jesus called him the "Prince of this earth" and "father of lies". (John 8:44).

        His name Lucifer means "the light one".  His name Satan means the "adversary".  His name Beelzebub, according to some, means "restless one".  His name Apollyon means destroyer", "accuser of the Brethren" (Rev. 12:10). "The dragon" (Rev 12:7).  "The Serpent". (Rev. 20:2).

        In (John 8:44) Satan was a murderer from the beginning.  Abide not in the Truth.  He is a liar and the father of it. The Bible tells us that Satan knows he has a short time compared to eternity. (Rev. 12:12) Because he knows his days are short and numbered, he will be filled with wrath.  We are going to see manifestations of Satan in this world that will be Frightening to those who do not know Jesus.  Demon possessions can be manifested in many ways.  The goal of Satan and demons are to Debase, Defile, and Ultimately destroy a human being who is made in the image of God.  That is what Satan wants to do.   He wants to attack God by Destroying people who are Precious in God's sight. He delights in hurting men and women in Trying to turn them Away from God's Love.

       When some of Jesus' enemies charged that He was casting out demons, He said, "Every kingdom divided against it is brought to desolation and a house divided against a house falls".  (Luke 11: 17-18).  This is universal truth!  The best plans can be Destroyed if we lack Unity.  When there is Division, Plans cannot be succeeded.  This is the reason Satan does Everything he can to cause division among the Christian's worldwide.  When we are so Divided, Suspicious, and Focus on each other's weak points, we are breaking the MOST important KEY for corporate success: Unity.  With Unity, the church can win the world.  Without Unity, it is Powerless. Unity brings incredible Strength!  Nothing is impossible for God's people working in Unity.

       

       God is the author of Grace, and Truth, but Satan is the father of lies, and a destroyer of God's truth.  He is also subtle, deceitful and hateful beyond imagination.

       Rev 12: 9,12,17 Satan, who deceives the "Whole" world, was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Woe! To the inhibiters of the earth for the devil has come down unto you, having a great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.  The Dragon saw he was cast unto the earth; he persecuted the woman (True Church) and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

       In the parable of the Sower and the Seed (Matthew 13:1-9). "He that soweth the GOOD Seed is the Son of Man." (Matthew 13:37).  Christ had come, NOT as a king, but as a Sower, not for the overthrow of kingdoms, but for the scattering of the Gospel Seed, not to appoint his followers to earthly triumphs and national greatness, but to a harvest to be gathered after patient toil and through losses and disappointment Christ came to Sow the World with the Gospel of Truth.    Jesus said, "The Words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are Life." (John 6:63).  "He that Hearth My words, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting life." (John 5: 24).

      The word of God is the seed.   Every seed has in itself a germinating principle.  In it life of a plant is enfolded.  So, there is Life in God's word.  In every command and in every promise of the word of God is the Power, the very Life of God.

      He who, by Faith, receives the Word is receiving the very life and Character of God.  To begin with, Seed has life in it. God's word is a Living word. The books that men write are DEAD, no matter how helpful on interesting they may be.   They cannot impart life as the Word of God can.   If you want to grow a Living plant, you must begin with a Living Seed.

      Like Seed, God's word may seem small and insignificant, but it is Powerful Have you ever seen a sidewalk cracked and broken because of a seed?  Like a seed God's word produces fruit and that fruit has in it the seed for more fruit.  Tremendous potential lies in a seed.  When God's word gets into a human heart and germinates and grows, spiritual fruit is eventually seen in that life.

      The Word like seed must be planted to do any good.   It must be Cultivated, Nurtured and Protected.  Jesus explained in this parable that it is NOT enough for the Believers to listen to the Word.  He must hear it, receive it into his heart, and let it take root and grow.

      Satan Is the Master of Counterfeiter and the Destroyer of God's Work.

     Another parable Jesus spake unto the Wheat and the Tares. (Matthew 13:24-32; 37-43).  In the Parable of the Tares and the Wheat, there are TWO Sowers.   TWO Kinds of Seeds, One is a Good Seed and the other is Corruptible Seed.

         1. He soweth the Wheat (Pure Gospel of Christ) Seed is the Son of Man.

         2. The Enemy that sowed the Tares (Tainted Gospel) is the devil and those who received the Corruptible seeds into their hearts are his children.

     The Field is the world. The Good Seed are the Children of the Kingdom; but the Tares are the Children of the Wicked one.  Jesus and the 12 apostles were among the first sowers of the Good Seed in the field (world).  While the servants slept at night, his enemy came and sowed Tares among the wheat, and went his way.

      In the East, men sometimes took Revenge upon an enemy by sowing his newly sown fields with the seeds of some noxious tares that, while growing, closely resembled to wheat. Tares are Poisonous!  If eaten it will produce Vomiting, Convulsions, and sometimes-even Death.  Sowing Tares among the Wheat was a "form of vengeance." The mischief aimed at was "POISIONING" of some the Wheat, necessitating great labor to get rid of it and it's lingering presence for years to come.

     (Acts 15: 1, 22-31) Certain men who came down from Judea TAUGHT the disciples and said, "Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye can not be saved." Paul, Barnabas and Silas send greetings to the Gentiles believers saying, "Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain who without authorization from us have disturbed you, troubling your souls, saying ye must circumcised and keep the Law; to Whom We Gave NO Such Commandment."

     (Acts 20: 28-30) Paul told the elders at Ephesus saying, "For I know this

After my death, shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock?  Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse, distort things to draw away disciples after them."

    (II Peter 2:1-3) But there shall be false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be False Teachers among you, who privately shall bring in Damnable heresies, many shall follow their pernicious ways, by reason of whom the WAY of TRUTH shall be evil spoken of.

    (I Timothy 4:1-3) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times

some shall DEPART from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils, Speaking LIES in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot Iron.

     (II Timothy 3: 7-9)  Ever learning and NEVER able to come to the knowledge of the Truth. Now as James and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the Truth, men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the Faith.

      (II Peter 3: 16-17)  As also in all of Paul epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned (ignorant) and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own Destruction.  Ye, therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being LED away with the ERROR of the Wicked, fall from your own Steadfastness.

      Why? Was Judas permitted to be counted among the 12 apostles?  So, Jesus could show us how we should treat our worst enemies.  Why? The early Church almost wrecked by false brethren? (Matthew 5:11-12) Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.  Rejoice and be exceeding glad, for great is your reward in heaven for so persecuted they the prophets before you.

    (James 1:2-3) My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into many temptation trials, knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh Patience.

    (I Peter1:7) That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.

      The servants were eager to get RID of the field of its terrible tares at once.  The servants asked him, "Sir, didst thou Sow good seed in thy field from whence hath it tares?   Will thou then that we go and gather them up?  He said, "NO" let both grow together until the harvest time.  In the time of the harvest I will say to the Reapers (angels) "gather, ye together the tares and bind them in Bundles to burn them. But gather the Wheat into my barn."

      The separation of one or the other would be Beyond the Wisdom of the servants.  Let them grow together until the harvest. The time of separation will come, when angels and NOT men will secure the Wheat into God's barn and burn the Tares.

      The harvest is the end of the world.  The reapers are the angels.  The Time of the harvest is appointed.  God has appointed a day that He will judge the world. 

(Acts 17:31). Then the righteous shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their God.

      We still live in an age of GRACE when Tares can become Wheat, or Sinners can fashion into saints.  Through the Gospel of Christ and His Power, Children of the wicked one can still become the children of God.
